History of the Silver Caduceus Society

The first SCS established in 28 September 1967 under Eighth United States Army, Korea. Since then SCSs have been an important part of the evolving history of the MSC for providing professional development, education, and mentoring opportunities. The goal to have one at each military installation where MSC officers serve.

Purpose of the Silver Caduceus Society

Silver Caduceus Societies (SCS) are private associations established for Medical Service Corps (MSC) officers to conduct professional and personal development and offers a forum for MSC officers to be updated on the advancements in technical, administrative and scientific arenas. The SCS provides an environment for mentoring and networking opportunities and encourages social interaction between MSC officers.
