SCA Scholarship Update

The SCA awarded three $1,000.00 scholarships at the 2008 Reunion in San Antonio, TX.  At the request of the Scholarship Committee, the Governing Board agreed to extend the deadline for the 2008 school year until 31 Dec 2008.

SCA members that have a relative that may be eligible for award of a scholarship should contact the SCA webmaster:  jmcclain7@cox.net.  He will forward to you a copy of the eligibility criteria and an application.

If you have questions on the Scholarship Program contact:

            Col (Ret) George Hammond
            Chairman Scholarship Committee
            E-mail-  ghammondeaglesnest@verizon.net
            Hm Ph – (813) 645-8861
            Cell Ph – (813) 323-4487

REMINDER!

The SCA Scholarship Program is supported entirely by member donations that are fully tax deductible.  You still have time to make your 2008 donation.  I am looking for100 members to donate $100.00 each (or whatever they can afford!) so the Scholarship Committee can obtain permission from the Governing Board to award scholarships to deserving relatives of SCA members for the 2009 scholarship year.

Thanks so much SCA members for your support of this very worthwhile program.

Col (R) George Hammond
